Feb 01, 2022 (newstodate): China's Kashgar International Airport, in the Xinjiang province, is working to become a hub for cargo flights.
Only in January 2022, four new cargo routes have been launched from Kashgar Airport to Lahore and Islamabad in Pakistan, to Budapest Airport in Hungary, and to Liege in Belgium.
The airport claims a favorable position as China's gateway to Central Asia and South Asia, as well as offering convenient services for China-Europe cargo flights carrying e-trade commodities.
Now served three times weekly, the route connecting Kashgar and Budapest was launched on January 15, carrying textiles, electronic products, daily necessities and other commodities, transited through Tbilisi in Georgia, for the last leg to Budapest, the capital of Hungary.
