Feb 04, 2022 (newstodate): The world's largest regional aircraft lessor Nordic Aviation Capital, currently in Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection, is divesting of parts of its aircraft fleet earlier comprising up to 500 units.
On the market today are among others 12 Bombardier CRJ1000 aircraft on lease to Garuda Indonesia.
In 2021, Garuda announced that it wanted to return the aircraft to NAC before the lease expires.
The UK-based aircraft remarketing company Airstream has been appointed to remarket four Dash 8-Q400 aircraft on lease to the German regional carrier LGW Luftfahrtgesellschaft Walter, which later went into voluntary administration in April 2020 following the loss of its wet-lease contract with Lufthansa’s Eurowings.
A fifth Dash 8-400 is also to be divested of, currently on lease with Cobham Aviation Services in Australia.
