Feb 17, 2022 (newstodate): The Latvian carrier airBaltic has announced the opening of flights to its second destination in Georgia, in the Caucasus region.
Starting from May 2, 2022, airBaltic will offer two weekly rotations with Airbus A220-300 aircraft on the route between Riga and Batumi, a leisure destination on Georgia's Black Sea coast close to the border with Turkey.
airBaltic is already operating scheduled flights from Riga to Georgia's capital Tbilisi, opening the route with the first flight on May 3, 2006, with Boeing 737 aircraft.
