Feb 16, 2022 (newstodate): The Lufthansa Group's Eurowings has selected Aviator Airport Alliance for handling of its traffic at the coming new base at Stockholm Arlanda, opening this spring.
Aviator will provide Eurowings with ground handling and de-icing services as the carrier starts flights from Stockholm to 12 European destinations starting from March 27, 2022.
New routes are to be operated to Barcelona, Rome, Palma de Mallorca, Nice, Copenhagen, Malaga, Birmingham, Gdansk, Alcudia, Pensacola, Faro, and Berlin.
Eurowings is, however, no newcomer in the Swedish market.
After launching twice-weekly flights on June 28, 2021, on a new route connecting Malmo and Pristina International Airport, in Kosovo, with A320 aircraft, the carrier recently announced two new routes between Germany and Swedish destinations in the north of the country.
From December 4, 2021, Eurowings has been offering a weekly rotation between Stuttgart and Kiruna served with Airbus A320 aircraft, and since December 5, 2021, flights are provided between Stuttgart and Luleaa Kallax Airport with two weekly rotations.
Eurowings already serves Stockholm Arlanda, Malmo and Gothenburg Landvetter.
