Feb 18, 2022 (newstodate): Copenhagen Airport is gearing up its air cargo team with a new Cargo Manager.
Taking up the position as Commercial Air Cargo Manager is Michael Giese, now tasked with supporting cargo business intelligence, re-developing the CPH Cargo Community, driving digitalization, supporting account management, and promoting route development with attracting more direct cargo traffic.
Mr Giese brings in experience from over 10 years with SAS Cargo as Strategic Manager since November 2011.
Reporting to Morten Mortensen, Copenhagen Airport Snr Director Airline Sales & Route Development, for marketing and sale of the airport as a cargo destination, the CPH Air Cargo Team was set up in 2018, headed by Lars Gotfredsen as Copenhagen Airport Air Cargo Manager from June 11, 2018, and expanded by another two members.
But as the Covid-19 brought business down, only Mr Gotfredsen remained in the position.
Adding power to its air cargo team, Copenhagen Airport now has the lofty ambition to become the largest air cargo hub in the Nordic region, the recruitment ad optimistically says.
