Dec 06, 2022 (newstodate): Russia's Ministry of Transportation is adjusting its estimates for this year's passenger volumes on Russian airlines.
   Estimates are now that the volume will reach 94-96 mio passengers in 2022, of which 80 mio are traveling on domestic routes and only some 16 mio on international routes.
   This falls short of estimates by the start of this year before the war on Ukraine, when the ministry saw around 100 mio passengers on Russian airlines this year.
   The Ministry also attributes the deficit in this year's passenger volumes not least to the sustained closure of 11 airports in the country's southern part, due also to the war on Ukraine and the closure of airspace.
