Dec 13, 2022 (newstodate): From many corners of the world, help and support is flowing into Ukraine in its fight against the Russian aggression.
   Devoid of own military forces or equipment, even Iceland is contributing with "soft power" to bolster Ukrainian soldiers in their fight against another enemy - the wold winter.
   This week, nine tonnes of home-knitted fleece sweaters and woolen blankets produced by thousands of Icelanders in a show of sympathy for Ukraine's struggle have thus left Keflavik Airport for a Polish airport onboard a Royal Canadian Air Force C-130 Hercules aircraft.  
   The gesture was made possible through cooperation between the Canadian military and various Icelandic parties and volunteers.
