Dec 14, 2022 (newstodate): Israel is a new - and easternmost - market for Icelandair in 2023.
The carrier is to launch its first-ever flights between Keflavík International Airport and Tel Aviv Ben Gurion International Airport on May 10, 2023, operated till the end of the summer '23 schedule on October 29, offering three weekly rotations on the route with Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft.
Besides aiming at increasing the tourist traffic between the two countries, the new route is also set up to attract Transatlantic interest, offering US travelers the option of flying to Israel via a transit stop in Iceland.
