Dec 12, 2022 (newstodate): The cautious easing of China's Covid-19 regime is opening up for more flights between the Nordic region and China.
The Scandinavian carrier SAS is now announcing the increase in frequency on its route connecting Copenhagen and Shanghai, going from one to two weekly rotations from December 16, 2022.
After the Covid-10 lockdown, the carrier returned flights on the route from September 29, 2020, with a modest program of one weekly rotation operated with Airbus A350 aircraft.
Besides SAS, Air China is alone at Copenhagen Airport with flights to China, offering one weekly rotation between Copenhagen and Beijing.
After a similar long suspension of services, passenger services on Finnair's route connecting Helsinki and Shanghai were reopened from March 10, 2022, with one weekly rotation, going up to two weekly services from November 22, 2022.
The route is also served by the Chinese carrier Juneyao Airlines with one daily rotation.
