Dec 08, 2022 (newstodate): As a result of the Russian airspace closure, many cargo figures declined year-on-year in November. However, most cargo figures improved month-on-month, says Finnair in a comment on the cargo performance in November 2022.
And the total cargo volumes were indeed down by 28.4 percent, y-o-y, to 10,081 tonnes, while the volumes in the first 11 months of this year are still up by 23.3 percent to 111,921 tonnes.
Down 13 percent, y-o-y, to 5,588 tonnes in November, the loads on the Asian lanes are slowly recovering with the opening of more Asian destinations and a gradual lifting of the Covid-19 curb on China.
On the Transatlantic lanes, Finnair transported 1,342 tonnes, still down 42.1 percent, y-o-y, while loads on the European traffic were up by a hefty 209.4 percent to 3,077 tonnes, and by 542.6 percent, y-o-y, to 21,852 tonnes in Jan-Nov '22
