Dec 15, 2022 (newstodate): The Lithuanian charter and ACMI carrier Avion Express is expanding its cooperation with the Dominican Republic's start-up carrier Sky Cana.
   Member of the Avia Solutions Group, Avion Express will place a further two Airbus A320 aircraft on a wet-lease contract with Sky Cana taking effect from December 2022, bringing the partnership to the allocation of a total of five aircraft.
   Already in April 2022 Avion Express signed a contract for the wet-lease of three Airbus A321 aircraft to operate on behalf of Sky Cana for a one-year period starting from April 2022 until March 2023.
   Another member of Avia Solutions Group, Bluebird Nordic is to place two Boeing 737-800 converted freighters with Sky Cana on a one-year wet-lease contract signed in September 2022, for cargo flights connecting the USA and destinations in the Caribbeans.
   In the fleet of Sky Cana are also two Airbus A330-200 aircraft, with one on a wet-lease contract with the Lithuanian charter and ACMI airline Heston Airlines that has also placed two Airbus A320 aircraft with the carrier, and another leased from the Latvian ACMI and charter operator SmartLynx Airlines' Maltese subsidiary.
