Nov 15, 2022 (newstodate): Unbound by sanctions, Dubai-based Emirates sees no problems with flights to Russia.
The carrier is now planning for increasing frequency on the route connecting Dubai and St Petersburg from December 2022, going up from today's four weekly rotations to six weekly flights from start of December and increasing further to daily flights starting from December 15, 2022.
All flights operated with Emirates' Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.
Starting from November 1, 2011, Emirates has been offering daily flights between Dubai and St Petersburg with a mix of Airbus A340-300 and A330-200 aircraft on the route - even operating its Airbus A380 in certain periods.
Emirates first launched services to Russia in 2003 with flights between Dubai and Moscow, and now operates two daily rotations on the route.
