Nov 08, 2022 (newstodate): In the air since June 2010, the Slovak carrier and ACMI provider AirExplore is now entering the cargo market alongside its passenger aircraft leasing services.
The carrier's first converted Boeing 737-800, formerly operated by Ryanair, completed its conversion process at Boeing Shandong Taikoo Aircraft Engineering by the end of August 2022 and is now placed with the UAE-based RDS Cargo Group on an ACMI contract.
The converted freighter brings the fleet of AirExplore to nine Boeing 737-800 aircraft, of which two are currently on lease contracts with Badr Airlines, four placed with Corendon Airlines, and one leased to Iraqi Airways.
Based at Bratislava and with Martin Stulajter as CEO and co-owner, Air Explore received its AOC on May 31, 2010, launching flights with its first aircraft, a Boeing 737-300.
