Nov 02, 2022 (newstodate): Estonia's Nordic Aviation Group is spreading its wings around Europe with new partnerships in the form of wet-lease contracts.
As a first, and starting from November 1, 2022, the NAC Group capacity provider Xfly has now placed one ATR72-600 aircraft in Lisbon under a wet-lease contract with TAP, with one more aircraft to join shortly.
In October, Jan Palmer, Nordic Aviation Group CEO, told newstodate of a coming close partnership with a yet-undisclosed airline in Germany, with a release to be published early in November.
NAC has thus been recruiting Portuguese-speaking cockpit and cabin crew members to its base at Lisbon, as well as cabin crews for coming new bases at Hamburg and Munich.
Jobs have also been announced for cockpit crews to be based in a coming new base in Sofia, Bulgaria.
Fully state-owned, Nordic Aviation Group comprises the capacity provider Xfly operating seven ATR72-600 as well as nine CRJ900 on a contract with SAS, and Nordica that will be operating Airbus A320 aircraft - both companies with an own AOC.
