Nov 02, 2022 (newstodate): Emirates is adding capacity on its route between Dubai and Oslo, heading for a return to daily services.
Currently serving the route with five weekly rotations from the start of this month, Emirates will go up to daily flights from December 5, 2022, marking a full return to pre-Covid levels.
In addition to passenger flights operated since September 2, 2014, with Oslo becoming the last of the Scandinavian markets served, the carrier also operates freighter flights to the Norwegian capital since October 2016, offering around 100 tonnes of cargo capacity per flight, with up to five weekly rotations.
Menzies took over the handling of Emirates at Oslo Airport from June 12, 2017, replacing the contract with Aviator that had been provider since Emirates became online at Oslo.
Menzies has also performed the handling of Emirates' all-cargo passenger aircraft lifting seafood exports from Oslo, with four weekly operations during the suspension of passenger flights.
Sales and marketing of Emirates SkyCargo's products is provided by Scanpartners Int'l.
