Nov 04, 2022 (newstodate): The Egyptian airline Air Cairo is pinning great hopes on the reintroduction of ATR aircraft after a 15-year lapse.
In the fleet of Air Cairo will be a total of six ATR 72-600 aircraft leased from the Danish company Nordic Aviation Capital in a deal signed in July 2022.
To support the ATR fleet operations, Air Cairo has now signed a five-year Global Maintenance Agreement with ATR.
Through a pay-by-the-hour contract, ATR will provide Air Cairo with repair, overhaul and pooling services of Line Replaceable Units for the aircraft now in the process of delivery.
This agreement also includes an on-site stock of spare parts, along with blades availability and maintenance services.
