Nov 10, 2022 (newstodate): China is poised to be an increasingly dominant country in the aviation industry.
According to the country's State Civil Aircraft Corporation of China, COMAC, China will need over 9,000 new aircraft in the coming 20 years.
China expects to see the fleet of narrow-body aircraft to account for 75 percent of the total, with wide-body aircraft accounting for some 20 percent during the period.
China also expects to meet much of the coming demand for new aircraft by own production types, especially in the narrow-body market with the recently certified medium-haul aircraft C919 as a mainstay.
