Nov 11, 2022 (newstodate): Azerbaijan's cargo carrier Silk Way West Airlines has booked a fresh order with Boeing for more freighter capacity.
   The carrier has thus signed up with Boeing for two Boeing 777-8 freighters, with an option for two additional aircraft.   
   Delivery of the aircraft is planned for 2029 and 2030, and follows a purchase agreement for five Boeing 777F freighters signed by the airline in April 2021.
   In June 2022, Silk Way West also placed an order with Airbus - the first inked with this aircraft company - for two Airbus A350 freighters.
   In the fleet of Silk Way West Airlines are now seven Boeing 747-400 and five Boeing 747-8 freighter aircraft.
