Nov 21, 2022 (newstodate): In June 2016, and after a suspense by 24 years, Air Serbia returned to the USA with direct non-stop air connection between Belgrade and New York.
Now, the carrier is readying to return flights to another US destination served after a pause by more than 30 years: Chicago.
With the first flight on May 17, 2023, the carrier will offer flights between Belgrade and Chicago, going up to three weekly rotations from June 13, 2023, with Airbus A330 aircraft.
In the USA, Air Serbia is code-sharing with partners JetBlue and American Airlines to provide onward domestic services.
Only this weekend, Air Serbia took delivery of its second Airbus A330-200 aircraft, formerly operated by South African Airways, and bolstering the capacity needed to develop the airline's growing intercontinental network.
