Oct 07, 2022 (newstodate): Maersk Air Cargo has rounded another corner in the process of building up the A.P. Moller Group's provider of air cargo services.
October 3, 2022, marked the opening of Maersk Air Cargo's Operations Control Center that is now fully operational and responsible for all OCC tasks in support to the Group's end-to-end multi-modal logistics.
In the first phase, and in addition to serving Star Air's integrator customers as hitherto, Maersk Air Cargo will operate three converted Boeing 767 freighters to be based at Denmark's Billund Airport for cargo flights between Europe and China, adding two new ex-factory Boeing 777F aircraft in late 2024 dedicated to serving customers of Maersk Air Cargo.
With effect from August 1, 2022, the HQs of Maersk Air Cargo has moved from its earlier location at Copenhagen Airport to the Copenhagen suburb of Lyngby where the Group also houses various non-aviation companies including Maersk Drilling and others.
