Oct 06, 2022 (newstodate): The Lithuanian charter carrier Avion Express has signed a new wet-lease/short-term contract with the Danish tour operator Bravo Tours.
Under the contract, Avion Express will allocate one Airbus A320 to operate charter flights to leisure destinations in Europe on behalf of Bravo Tours, Denmark’s third-largest tour operator, during the Danish autumn holiday period of October 13th-25th.
Member of Avia Solutions Group, Avion Express is seeing strong over-all success in the ACMI and wet-lease market in 2022.
Eurowings is in need for more aircraft capacity, and in September 2022, Eurowings was operating no less than 14 Avion Express Airbus A320 aircraft from four different bases around Europe.
The cooperation started in April 2022 as Eurowings signed a long-term wet-lease contract with Avion Express comprising 11 Airbus A320 aircraft, with effect from the summer 2022 schedule.
TUI Airways has been leasing capacity from Aviation Express in the form of two Airbus A320 aircraft operated on a damp-lease contract, with Avion Express staff in the cockpit, while cabin crew will be TUI's own staff.
The contract ran from May till September 2022, with the aircraft stationed at London Gatwick for flights to leisure destinations in Spain, Greece, Croatia, Portugal, Cyprus, Turkey, Morocco and other countries.
In May 2022, Avion Express also continued its long-term cooperation with Turkish carrier SunExpress, signing a damp-lease contract comprising six Airbus A320 Family aircraft to serve the Turkish/German-JV carrier SunExpress from its base at Antalya, Turkey in summer 2022.
Earlier, in April 2022 Avion Express signed a new contract for the wet-lease of three Airbus A321s and one Airbus A320 aircraft to operate on behalf of Sky Cana for a one-year period starting from April 2022 until March 2023.
In the fleet of Avion Express and its Maltese subsidiary are now 12 Airbus A320 Family aircraft.
