Oct 12, 2022 (newstodate): The Norwegian carrier Wideroe is seeing encouraging results from its route connecting to Vagar Airport, on the Faroe Islands.
Starting from September 4, 2021, Wideroe launched twice-weekly flights on the route from its hub at Bergen to Vagar Airport with Bombardier Q400 aircraft - and results were promising enough to induce the carrier to add two more weekly rotations from May 2022.
Sustained results again drove Wideroe to add even a fifth rotation on the route, starting from September this year.
The Faroese carrier Atlantic Airways earlier served the route with two weekly rotations till year-end 2011.
