Oct 04, 2022 (newstodate): The Lufthansa Group airline Eurowings remains a solid customer for aircraft capacity from Latvia's airBaltic.
The carrier has thus extended its wet-lease of airBaltic Airbus A220-300 aircraft till the end of November 2022, deploying the aircraft to serving 19 scheduled routes from Dusseldorf, including flights to Copenhagen and Gothenburg, as well as utilizing the capacity on other routes as well on an ad-hoc basis.
The wet-lase contract with airBaltic was originally signed to comprise operations with five Airbus A220-300 aircraft during the summer 2022 season only.
