Oct 19, 2022 (newstodate): News are out today about a major new project involving Estonia's Nordic Aviation Group: a coming close partnership with a yet-undisclosed airline in Germany.
-We cannot reveal details at this stage, but we expect to go out with an announcement within two to three weeks, says Jan Palmer, Nordic Aviation Group CEO.
-But in preparation for the coming cooperation, we are now starting up the recruitment process for cockpit and cabin crews for the aircraft to be allocated to various bases in Germany, with full production by summer 2023.
-To bolster our coming long-term cooperation, the partner airline wants to be closely involved in the project that will comprise a new Estonian AOC with both airlines participating, and a fleet of Airbus A320 aircraft to be added to this as production gains speed.
-One Airbus A320neo has already been delivered to our Group, and four more will be added from March '23 in time for the summer 2023 schedule, says Mr Palmer.
Fully state-owned, Nordic Aviation Group comprises the capacity provider Xfly operating seven ATR72-600 as well as nine CRJ900 on a contract with SAS, and Nordica that will be operating Airbus A320 aircraft - both companies with an own AOC.
