Oct 11, 2022 (newstodate): Successfully completing the pre-audit and certification process, the Danish carrier Jettime has now obtained its IOSA certificate.
Besides serving tour operators and charter companies as the main segment of its strategy, Jettime also provides the airline industry with aircraft capacity on wet-lease contracts as a secondary strategy, requiring IOSA certification to serve customers with code-share partners.
The IOSA pre-audit process spanning some six months was completed as planned by May 2022, after which the certification process requiring another three to four months was concluded with the final approval obtained on September 30, 2022.
Jettime's predecessor, Jet Time, was IOSA-certified for years and due for renewal by December 2020 - but folded wings in July 2020.
Jettime is considered, not a successor, but a new airline requiring own certification after an initial audit, while airlines already holding IOSA certification will undergo a recurrent audit by the end of each two years' period.
-With the IOSA certification in place, we are now in a position to place a bid on any tender requiring IOSA, but the certification also serves as proof of the respected quality of our entire operational platform, says Jorgen Holme, Jettime CEO.
-Taking the extremely challenging business environment over the last few years into account, I am proud of the fact that the Jettime team has succeeded in shouldering and completing the highly demanding IOSA certification process alongside the daily work and routines, says Mr Holme.
Jettime is thus now IOSA-certified till May 2024, prior to which a recurrent audit will be performed.
