Oct 17, 2022 (newstodate): The Czech low-cost operator SmartWings has landed a wet-lease contract with a Gulf airline, flydubai.
   Under the contract, IOSA-certified Smartwings will place four Boeing 737-800 aircraft with flydubai together with 125 flight deck, cabin crew and technical staff members.
   In the period spanning from November 17, 2022, to January 16, 2023, the Smartwings aircraft will operate on behalf of flydubai on routes in the flydubai network including destinations in Bangladesh, Pakistan, Oman or Sri Lanka.
   During this winter period, no less than 23 of Smartwing's total of 34 aircraft will be operating for external customers on wet-lease and ACMI contracts.
