Jan 10, 2022 (newstodate): The new Ukrainian carrier Air Ocean seems to have come off to a difficult start..
With Vyacheslav Geriga as its CEO and Kiev Igor Sikorsky Airport as its main base, the carrier received its AOC only in October 2021 and now has two AN-148 aircraft in the fleet to provide services from November 21, 2021, on the first domestic route between Kiev and Zaporozhye.
The carrier has now, however, announced the closure of the route between Kiev and Kharkov from January 9, 2022, after just two weeks of operations.
Earlier, the airline closed the domestic route between Kiev and Chernivtsi due to frequent bad weather conditions in Chernivtsi, and also refused to start up flights on the Kiev-Ivano-Frankivsk route citing delay of delivery of it third aircraft by one month.
