Jan 7, 2022 (newstodate): Set up in Poland as a subsidiary of Ryanair with the first flight on April 26, 2018, Buzz - earlier named Ryanair Sun - is bent on continued expansion.
The carrier started out with five aircraft and increased the fleet to 17 Boeing 737-800 aircraft on Polish register in its first year of operation, increasing to 25 aircraft in summer 2019.
Today, the fleet of Buzz comprises 56 aircraft, including 46 Boeing 737-800 and 10 Boeing 737-8200 aircraft - and Buzz is targeting a fleet of 60 aircraft in the 2022 summer season.
To satisfy its need for cockpit crews, Buzz is now engaging in a campaign to recruit 300 pilots over the next three years, including some 100 already by the end of 2022.
