Jan 21, 2022 (newstodate): Summer 2022 will see more flights between Norway and the Faroe Islands.
   Starting from September 4, 2021, Wideroe launched twice-weekly flights on the new route from its hub at Bergen to Vagar Airport with Bombardier Q400 aircraft - and results have been so promising that the carrier will add two more weekly rotations from May 2022.
   Flights between Norway and the Faroe Islands have also been provided by the Faroese carrier Atlantic Airways, albeit on a seasonal basis only, with one weekly Airbus A320 rotation on the route connecting Oslo and Vagar, starting from June 16, 2021, till the end of the summer.
   Atlantic Airways earlier served the route with two weekly rotations till year-end 2011.
