Jan 04, 2022 (newstodate): New Lithuanian carrier Jump Air has now obtained its AOC and is readying for launch of services.
-We were blessed with the greatest New Year's gift – an AOC issued on December 31, 2021, says Dovydas Jurgelevicius, Jump Air Accountable Manager.
-We are now sorting out the Type A commercial license, and plan to hopefully start charter and ACMI operations by the end of this month.
-The aircraft, crew and office are all fully ready for start of operations, and we will now work actively on adding the second aircraft to the fleet in late spring of this year, says Mr Jurgelevicius.
Based at Vilnius, Lithuania, Jump Air on December 16, 2021, took delivery of its first passenger aircraft, an ATR72-500, on a lease contract with Elix Aviation, and the second ATR-500 will be delivered in all-cargo version.
Jump Air plans to be operating a mixed cargo and passenger fleet of up to four ATR72-500 aircraft by 2023, aiming at ACMI, wet-lease and charter operations in South America, Europe, Africa, Asia, and the Asia-Pacific region.
Established in early 2020 in a partnership between AliPlan S.r.l and EU Wings S.r.l., Jump Air earlier aimed at start of operations already by Q1, 2021 - before the effect from the coronavirus struck the global industry.
