Jan 27, 2022 (newstodate): Foreboding the coming sustained decline in Covid-19, Norwegian is now preparing to restart its operational base at Stockholm Arlanda.
The carrier is currently recruiting 270 cabin staff to be based at Stockholm Arlanda Airport, with the start of work in March 2022 and lift-off from Stockholm from April 2022.
In the plans is now the gradual opening of direct flights from Stockholm to 54 destinations in time for the summer season.
So far, Norwegian has already opened or reopened bases at Copenhagen, Helsinki, Stavanger, Bergen and Trondheim.
Norwegian will become the fourth carrier to reopen its base at Stockholm Arlanda after Ryanair and Finnair stationed aircraft at Arlanda in 2021, and by the end of March Eurowings is opening its new base at the airport, shortly followed by the reopening of the Norwegian base.
