Jan 07, 2022 (newstodate): The aircraft maintenance unit of Finnair, Finnair Tekniikka, has picked DHL Supply Chain (Finland) Oy as its new partner to handle the company's warehousing services.
   The two parties will launch the cooperation during this coming spring, but not later than by June 2022, when responsibility for the services will be transferred from Finnair's current partner to DHL Supply Chain.
   DHL Supply Chain will take care of the handling, storage and packaging of spare parts and maintenance materials in Finnair's Technology warehousing services.  
   The agreement with DHL also includes the disposal of special waste from aircraft maintenance, and support services related to the service.
   In Finland, DHL Supply Chain employs about 400 in-house logistics professionals with logistics centers and service warehouses located in the Helsinki metropolitan area, Turku and Oulu.  
   In addition, the company provides in-house logistics services at its customers' production facilities in several locations, such as Vaasa and Helsinki.
