Jan 21, 2022 (newstodate): Before the end of this year, Star Air, the Danish cargo carrier owned by the AP Moller-Maersk Group, will be adding fresh capacity to its fleet.
As earlier reported, Star Air will take delivery of three more Boeing 767-300 on a lease contract with ATSG.
The three aircraft are now poised for conversion from passenger to cargo version, expected to be completed in the latter part of 2022.
Further down the line, Star Air has purchased two new ex-factory Boeing 777F aircraft from Boeing, with delivery slated for 2024.
Founded in 1987, Star Air is today operating a total of 15 Boeing 767 cargo aircraft including 12 Boeing 767-200 and three Boeing 767-300 converted freighters operating on contracts with integrators as well as providing charter services.
