Jan 19, 2022 (newstodate): As in previous years, the integrators DHL and FedEx proved a precious and sustained boon to Copenhagen Airport's cargo development.
   In 2021, the two integrators handled 90,986 tonnes of cargo at Copenhagen Airport, an increase by 20.3 percent, y-o-y.
   The bulk of the volumes was lifted on all-cargo flights, generating 71,888 tonnes and rising 14.1 percent compared to the preceding year.
   But trucked cargo actually increased the most on the integrator side, with a total of 19,025 tonnes in 2021, up 50 percent.
    Recognizing the role of Copenhagen Airport, DHL in 2021 received the building permit for a new 26,000 m2 Northern Europe Hub.     
   Construction works are in full swing, and the new hub is expected to launch operations by Q4, 2022.
