Jan 11, 2022 (newstodate): Norse Atlantic Airways is now building up its fleet of Boeing 787 aircraft, with the first arrivals in Oslo Airport.
The first delivery was on December 20, 2021, leased from BOC Aviation and flying into Oslo from Warsaw.
The second aircraft is due these days, and so far plans are to take delivery of a total of 14 Boeing 787 aircraft, preparing for the start of transatlantic services in summer 2022.
Norse Atlantic Airways received its AOC on December 29, 2021, and the first flights will depart from Oslo to selected cities in the US including flights on routes from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport to Oslo, Paris, and London.
In the plans are also flights from Oslo Airport to Ontario near Los Angeles, and to Newburgh near New York - both secondary airports serving major destinations at competitive airport charges, with an all-Boeing 787 aircraft fleet.
