Jan 07, 2022 (newstodate): The Lithuanian e-trade logistics provider Venipak is continuing its Hong Kong freighter services in 2022.
   So far, three rotations between Hong Kong and Latvia's Riga Airport have been set up, with the first flight from Riga on January 13, followed by one weekly rotation till January 27, which brings us close to the Chinese New Year that will see demands down during the festival.
   Since September 18, 2021, Venipak has been offering a weekly Hong Kong-Riga-Hong Kong freighter service with a Boeing 737-800BCF operated by the Russian carrier Atran Airlines, further boosted by the addition of a second rotation on the route from October 27, 2021.
   The fresh capacity has contributed significantly to the cargo volumes at Riga Airport in 2021.
   While detailed statistics are yet to be published, the airport has seen a 20 percent y-o-y increase in total volumes handled in 2021, the airport tells newstodate.
