Sep 14, 2021 (newstodate): Finnair is preparing for a significant rebound in traffic from the coming winter 2021/22 schedule.
As the Covid-19 restrictions are gradually easing around many parts of the world, Finnair will up frequencies and add destinations in its network to Europe, Asia and North America for the coming winter season.
Key to its strategy, Finnair continues to build up services to its Asian destinations, flying daily to Tokyo, Seoul and Bangkok, and offering multiple weekly frequencies to Singapore and Hong Kong.
Finnair’s service to Osaka will resume in October, expanding the carrier's presence in the Japanese market, with flights to Nagoya planned to resume in February 2022.
Finnair will also start serving its Dubai connection with a wide-body aircraft.
Finnair will boost its North American services and will serve Chicago, previously a summer route, on a year-round basis through the coming winter season. The carrier also serves New York with daily flights from Helsinki and operates three weekly flights to Miami and Los Angeles, respectively.
In addition to serving North America from its Helsinki hub, Finnair will introduce direct routes to Los Angeles and New York from Stockholm, Sweden, as well as introducing direct flights on routes from Stockholm to Miami, Phuket and Bangkok, as earlier announced.
Besides, Finnair is also to strengthen its European and Scandinavian route networks with more flights and new destinations.
