Sep 07, 2021 (newstodate): The Scottish carrier Loganair is planning for resumption of international flights again in 2022.
Grounded by the Covid-19 pandemic, Loganair has been out of the international flights business since 2020, but plans are now emerging for return of services.
One key segment served by Loganair has been the flights to Norway, and services from Edinburgh and Newcastle to Stavanger and Bergen will be resumed from March 2022.
Loganair will also return seasonal flights on the route between Sumburgh, on the Shetland Islands, and Bergen.
The carrier first entered the Norwegian market in summer 2017 with flights on the route from Glasgow to Bergen, with two weekly rotations using SAAB2000 aircraft, and in 2019, Loganair opened flights on two new routes to Norway from Edinburgh to Stavanger and Bergen.
