Sep 08, 2021 (newstodate): A new cargo carrier in Bulgaria is approaching the end of preparations: Compass Cargo.
   Compass Cargo Airlines is a JV between the US company Mesa Air Group holding 49 percent of the stake in the carrier, and the UK company Gramercy Associates Ltd.
   Compass Cargo has now taken delivery of its first aircraft, a Boeing 737-800SF, on August 9, 2021, leased from GA Telesis and registered to the Mesa Air Group in January 2021 as part of their contract to operate the aircraft for DHL.
   With the aircraft registered, Compass Cargo is now applying for its AOC and plans to lift off on its first commercial operation before the end of this year.
