Sep 06, 2021 (newstodate): Copenhagen Airport will see a new airline on the runway by September 14, 2021: FlyErbil.
The carrier will be offering a weekly rotation between Baghdad and Copenhagen, operated with a Boeing 737-400 aircraft.
Set up in 2015 but delayed in the start of operations due to the war with ISIL, FlyErbil is an Iraqi-Kurdish airline based at Erbil International Airport, in Iraq's Kurdistan Region.
FlyErbil is however not entirely new in Scandinavia; starting on June 23, 2018, FlyErbil became online with bi-weekly flights between Erbil and Sweden's Gothenburg Airport, routed via Kiev.
