Sep 22, 2021 (newstodate):  Taking to the air on the first commercial flight on June 24, 2021, the new Icelandic LCC Play has revealed plans for fleet expansion.
   Play has thus signed a lease contract with GECAS for delivery of three A320neo and one A321NX scheduled for delivery between autumn 2022 and spring 2023.
   As reported already in August 2021, Play signed two LOI’s with two major international aircraft lessors to take the fleet from today's three to nine aircraft in spring 2023.
   The first LOI comprises two new A320neo aircraft, manufactured in 2020, slated for delivery in Q1/2022.
   The second LOI, now signed with GECAS, comprises three A320neo and one A321neo, with all four aircraft to be delivered ex-factory through the lessor.
   PLAY is already in final negotiations over the lease of a tenth aircraft.
