Sep 15, 2021 (newstodate): Heston MRO, the largest independent MRO organization in Australasia, is to extend its presence into Europe.
The newly established subsidiary Heston MRO Europe will start immediate offering of Components Support and Asset Management services to airlines and asset owners, planning to operate local European warehouses and have AOG support and logistics teams located next to its European customers and suppliers.
-Based in Lithuania, Heston MRO Europe will aim to service operators and asset owners in EMEA and CIS markets, says Kestutis Volungevicius, Heston MRO Europe CEO.
-Having started with Components and Asset Management solutions, we aim for organic customer driven expansion into other adjacent MRO offerings like engineering services, engines solutions, and other technical support services.
Based at Vilnius Airport, Lithuania, Heston Airlines is now in business with two Airbus A320 aircraft offered to operators and customers in the charter and ACMI markets.
Landing its AOC only on May 21, 2021, the carrier took delivery of its second aircraft on May 26, 2021, like the first A320 delivered in December 2020 on a lease contract with the Irish aircraft leasing company Genesis.
Managed by Jonas Rinkauskas as CEO, Heston plans to grow the aircraft fleet to seven aircraft by 2022, and eventually up to 10 aircraft at a later stage.
