Sep 20, 2021 (newstodate): Finnair is to offer long-haul flights from Stockholm from this winter - but some revisions to the original plans have now been made.
The first of the new routes, to be launched on October 22, 2021, will connect Stockholm and Bangkok.
So far, plans were to offer five weekly rotations, going up to daily connection from November 28, 2021, as the tourist season gains momentum.
But instead, only two weekly flights will be offered during winter 2021/22.
In the long-haul plans are also flights to Miami to follow from October 4, 2021, with four weekly rotations, going up to four rotations from November 29, and flights to Phuket will launch also from October 24, 2021, with one weekly rotation, adding one more flight from November 4, and one more from November 30, 2021.
And the latest news is that the program will be further augmented by the announcement of long haul flights from Stockholm to Los Angeles and New York.
In the Swedish market, North Air Logistics provides the airline with cargo GSSA services, while handling of Finnair Cargo is provided by Spirit Air Cargo Handling.
