Sep 09, 2021 (newstodate): In August 2021, Finnair lifted a total of 6,557 tonnes of cargo.
   This was an increase by 61.9 percent compared to last year, bringing the total volume transported in January-August 2021 to 53,785 tonnes, also up 11.7 percent, y-o-y, but still far below the high times in pre-Covid 2019.
   In August 2021, all-cargo flights delivered 1,604 tonnes of cargo,  while 4,954 tonnes were flown on passenger flights as the market slowly picked up again with the gradual re-opening of not least the Asian lanes.
   2,998 tonnes of cargo were thus carried on the Asian traffic that lifted by 34.5 percent, y-o-y, while the largest improvement was seen on the North Atlantic traffic where volumes doubled to 1,706 tonnes in August 2021.
