Sep 20, 2021 (newstodate): Happy tidings from Finnair is news of resumption of services to Beijing from October 2021.
Long stalled due to the coronavirus-restrictions, the flights will reopen with so far two weekly rotations in the winter 2021/22 schedule - still far cry from pre-covid times when Finnair operated up to 14 rotations per week.
Finnair will also increase the frequency on flights from Helsinki to Shanghai from today's two to seven weekly rotations during W'21, while flights on the route to Nanjing are still not in the coming winter schedule.
Finally, flights on the route to Hong Kong will increase from three to five weekly rotations.
Beijing has been served by Finnair since June 2, 1988; Shanghai since September 2003, and Hong Kong since May 19, 2007.
Before the coronavirus pandemic, Finnair was also online with flights from Helsinki to Chongqing from May 9, 2012; to Xian from June 14, 2013, and to Guangzhou from September 2, 2005.
