Sep 23, 2021 (newstodate): Russia has now lifted its restrictions on more international routes.
From October 5, 2021, Russia will allow flights to resume to six international destinations in Djibouti, New Zealand, South Africa, Peru - and Denmark.
While the new allowances for flights to Djibouti, New Zealand, South Africa, and Peru are routes served from Moscow, the route to reopen between Russia and Denmark concerns flights between St Petersburg and Copenhagen, to be operated with two weekly rotations, according to Russia's anti-coronavirus crisis center.
Awaiting the thumbs-up is Wizz Air that opened its base at St Petersburg in June 2020, with plans including flights to Copenhagen. Then came the Covid-19..
Flights on the route Moscow-Copenhagen were reopened from May 2, 2021, with one weekly rotation and is now up to four weekly flights.
