Aug 23, 2021 (newstodate): The Ukrainian president is determined to spur the setup of a new national carrier.

The French government has agreed to support the plan, dedicating an aviation consultant to support the planning process.
-We begin working. This year we want to get a competitive state-owned air carrier, the president said.
Serving the country today is loss-making Ukraine International Airlines, owned by three minority shareholders after the state sold its 61 percent stake in 2011.
