Aug 12, 2021 (newstodate): The monitors at Billund Airport will display a new destination from this winter schedule: Tirana, in Albania.
   The Hungarian LCC Wizz Air has announced plans for opening of new routes from Tirana, including flights on the new route connecting Tirana and Billund.
   The opening flight will operate on December 9, 2021, and the carrier will be offering two weekly rotations with Airbus A320 aircraft.
   The carrier is today opeating flights between Billund Airport and Vienna, Tuzla, Sofia, Larnaca, Vilnius, Gdansk, Cracow, Bucharest, Cluj-NMpoja, Kiev and Lviv.
   The first Wizz Air-destination at Billund Airport was Gdansk, with the inaugural flight on June 19, 2015.
