Aug 03, 2021 (newstodate): Skyworld Aviation has completed the sale of two more Avro RJ aircraft formerly operated by the Swedish regional airline BRA.
The two aircraft have been acquired by UK-based spares and components specialist Executive Jet Support, and currently located at Norwich Airport in the UK they will remain under a care and maintenance program for a period.
Only one of initially 10 Avro jet aircraft are thus now left on the shelf of Skyworld Aviation.
In February 2021, Skyworld Aviation sold one of the ex-Braathens aircraft to the Bahrain Defence Force, and in January 2021, Skyworld Aviation announced the sale of two aircraft to the UK company CFS Aero, based in Warwick - and also in January two more aircraft were taken off the shelf for delivery to new owner Summit Air of Canada.
In August 2019, Sweden's second-largest domestic airline Braathens Regional Airlines, later renamed BRA, contracted Skyworld for re-marketing of its fleet of Avro RJ aircraft.
The package comprised eight Avro RJ100 and two Avro RJ85 aircraft, plus accompanying spare engines, spares and tooling.
With the latest transaction, Skyworld Aviation now has only one ex-Braathens Avro RJ100 up for sale.
