Aug 16, 2021 (newstodate): Russia is again renewing hopes for exporting its Superjet 100 aircraft to a European airline.
Once more, negotiations are underway for the Serb state to sign an agreement with Sukhoi for delivery of eight Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircraft to be allocated to Air Serbia.
Not that the airline is actually itself interested in the aircraft type that has been on the agenda of changing Serb government.
Anyhow, the issue will be on the agenda on the coming Serbian - Russian Economic Forum in October 2021, following on efforts in late 2015, and again in 2017, and in December 2019, when Russia's president Putin reiterated that Russia's aviation sector was prepared to assist in the renewal of Air Serbia’s fleet.
And in June 2021, negotiations between the Russian Ministry for Industry and Trade and the Serb government at the St Petersburg International Economic Forum again pushed the issue.
